Apparently Capcom haven’t learned the lesson from the first Street Fighter live-action film, a hilariously bad movie with some of the best/worst dialogue ever committed to celuloid (and an excellent performance from Raul Julia).

Hopefully this new film, co-produced by Capcom and Hyde Park Entertainment, will take more from the anime films - early reports that it’ll focus on Chun-Li would suggest that it might be taking a similar tack as the Street Fighter II anime.

The film is slated for a release in 2008, which would be the 20th anniversary of the Street Fighter series.
