Anime News Network are reporting that Cartoon Network have picked up US broadcast rights to Sony Pictures’ Blood+. While no information has been announced so far the series’ schedule, based on Production IG’s 2000 OVA Blood The Last Vampire, isn’t exactly primetime material - it’s a fairly safe bet that Blood+ will wind up in the channel’s [adult swim] lineup.

The Blood+ license Sony Pictures hold doesn’t cover Europe however, so any UK release of the series is still a way off at this point.
