Anime UK News have a couple of interviews up with some of the people behind Anime Central, the anime-focused TV channel kicking off on Sky Digital next month. In the article, you can hear straight from Beez Entertainment’s Andrew Partridge and Anime Central’s Mark Buchanan about the plans for the new channel.

Anime Central will begin broadcasting on Sky Digital (on an unconfirmed channel) on September 10th at 9am, with the initial lineup including Ghost In The Shell: Stand Alone Complex and - one of my personal favourites - Planetes.

The ADV-affiliated channel Anime Network has been on-air for 13 weeks already on Sky Digital channel 195, and has just been expanded to 7 days a week, with new shows planned including Azumanga Daioh!, Pani Poni Dash and Kurau Phantom Memory.
