Wachowski Speed Racer to use ‘67 theme song
Don’t ask me how she got to know all this stuff, but actress Susan Sarandon has confirmed that the Wachowski brothers’ live-action Speed Racer film will be using the original theme song and sound effects from the original 1967 American dub of the Mach Go Go Go anime series.
Sarandon, who plays Speed Racer’s mother in the film (the imaginatively named “Mom Racer”), also says that the movie is being shot with a special HD camera system that films scenes in “layers” that are then composited together so that everything is in focus, supposedly so that it resembles 2D animation.
